RORY Cowan has described Twink’s latest spat with a former work colleague as a complete “over reaction”.

Twink, whose real name is Adele Condron-King, and a former production assistant on one of her TV shows, were engaged in a Facebook row about a panto which happened in 2013.

The actor and presenter reposted a picture from an old stage show in Limerick and wrote: “Ah yes… A panto I’d rather forget than recall…Not for me ...vile production.”

Ex-TV show worker Anne Doyle, commented on the memory and said: “To put a status like this up in a time where theatre folk are struggling like never before is really not okay.

“Regardless of your views on the working conditions of the panto, or your own personal experiences, it does not justify publicly shaming artists and crew on this thread.

“A lot of the performers in this production were former theatre school students of yours who deserve more from you than to have their work called ‘vile’ on social media by their former mentor. There is just no need for this.”

An irate Twink replied in the comments: “Shame on you Anne Doyle … All you need to know here is what an absolute ninny you’ve made of yourself.”

She also alluded to the fact that as Anne was Rory Cowan’s cousin, she might have expected such an attack.

“It must run in the family....isn't this this how your vile famous cousin does it?”

Fair City star Rory previously had his own high profile falling out with Twink in 2017.

And he told the Sunday World that he thinks this latest outburst from Twink, was “a complete overreaction”.

“Basically, Adele is giving out about a production she was in years ago in Limerick, a panto she was in.

“The girl, she is a relation of mine but I don’t know her.

“She is not a close relation, basically she is my cousin’s daughter.

“I don't know what that makes her, but I only met her about three times in my life, I don’t know her at all.

“But basically, what she was saying to Adele was to be kind.

“All the young people are saying that since Caroline Flack died.

“But the response back from Adele and then the voicemail back was a complete over reaction, and no need for it at all.”

And Rory said he did not wish to get involved in any spat with Twink insisting that can’t understand why she would engage in such behaviour.

“I don’t know why she does it.

“With me she went mental and I just walked away.

“But this time it was a complete over reaction and when all this girl was saying is that she needs to be kind.

“But the abuse that came after that was just too much.”
