'No angel' Ryan Tubridy says viewers 'misinterpreted' f-bomb on Toy Show

RYAN Tubridy has denied dropping the 'f-bomb live on air during Friday’s Late Late Toy Show.

Social media went into meltdown mid-way through the programme as the Toy Show host appeared to accidentally swear live on air.

During the show, Ryan sat down with rock fan Annie to enjoy a sit-down meal in the middle of the show.

Ryan took out a two-litre bottle of Fanta Orange, which appeared to have been shook by one of the little elves before being placed it on set.

As he opened the bottle, the fizz came flowing out the top and all over the host causing Tubs to swear live on air during the Toy Show and the clip has gone viral online.

However, Tubs told his listeners to his RTÉ radio programme this morning that he did not drop the F Bomb.

“I opened the bottle and it went everywhere, I still don't know, we will have to have a tribunal of inquiry as to was the bottle shaken by someone stirring up behind the scenes?' he said.

“I don’t know, or is it just one of those bottles that was flung in and just exploded?

“And apparently somebody very naughty may or may not have said a certain word.

“I have been laughing about it all weekend because my phone melted with all sorts of nice things from people, but the truth of the matter is that people thought it was an f-bomb.

“It wasn’t, strangely, it was a b-bomb. You have to listen very carefully to it.

“It probably rhymes more closely to a word like 'pollacks' than anything else.

“That’s the word but it has been misinterpreted, but I don't mind, it was a slip of the tongue and I am no angel."
