Roz Purcell has revealed how she broke her leg in a freak accident while playing tennis.

The cook book author and former model told her Instagram followers she may need surgery and there is a possibility she has also broken her foot.

However, she is keeping her spirits up with another jokey post showing her in A&E with the caption, “Low key enjoying being around people…and ease (sic) dropping.”

In an earlier post she had added: “I’m back as they think foot may be broken too.”

The 30-year-old had previously detailed in a series of updates how she suffered the injury.

Fitness fanatic Roz shared a snap of herself en route to hospital with a bag of ice on her injured leg which was resting on the dashboard of a car.

"It's not great,” she said on her Instagram stories. “I have broken my fibula and it's not a clean break.. it's a really awkward diagonal break.

"The bone has shifted so I'm waiting to hear if I need surgery."

She added: "My biggest flex used to be that I've never broken a bone or never had a filling now I just have never had a filling.

"Just to say I've got strong ass bones. I've had so many falls and s*** before and it's a miracle I haven't broken anything.

"It was just a freak accident. I wasn't even doing anything.

"Listen, I've been crawling up the side of mountains, rock climbing…(but this time) I was literally just stepping backwards, I was playing tennis. It was a freak, freak accident.

"They were like, 'Did you hear it snap?' I didn't hear it snap but I knew.

"You know when you hurt something so badly you feel like you're going to projectile vomit? That was what it was like."
