Rosanna Davison shares sweet snaps of her granny Maeve's 95th birthday

The former Miss World spent the day in Wexford with her paternal grandmother yesterday to mark her milestone birthday and shared some sweet snaps on social media of the pair together.

Maeve, who is Rosanna’s father Chris de Burgh’s mother, looked delighted in one of Rosanna’s Instagram posts as she cut into some chocolate cake complete with some ‘95’ number candles.

In another photo, the duo looked glamorous as ever with Maeve donning a baby pink cardigan as Rosanna smiled next to her, wearing her hair in blown out blonde curls.

Captioning the post, Rosanna wrote: “Our birthday queen turns 95.”

She also posted a photo of Maeve holding a giant Cadbury’s Dairy Milk bar, which the 37-year-old said is “the way to her heart.”

The model’s friends and fans flooded the comments section to wish Maeve a happy birthday.

One follower penned: “Ah, Happy birthday Mrs D. Maeve is looking great! Please pass on our birthday wishes from all in Ballyhealy.”

Another said: “This is so so precious. She’s gonna get that card at 100. Flying it. Makes my heart warm x”

Last month, Rosanna revealed that her twin boys, Hugo and Oscar, were finally able to meet their great-grandmother for the first time.

As they were born during lockdown, it was months before they could be introduced to Rosanna’s beloved grandmother.

Sharing some photos from the sweet family reunion to Instagram, Rosanna wrote: “Today was a special one. Hugo and Oscar met their great-grandmother for the very first time.”

In a second photo, Rosanna added: “It’s so important for us to have these photos and memories as she’s a very special part of our lives.”

The mum-of-three also shared a throwback photo from her childhood, captioning the post: “Me as a baby with my granny! It means the world to be able to introduce her to my own babies.”
