Rosanna Davison has shared the moving moment her twin boys met their great-grandmother for the very first time.

The proud mum introduced her sons Oscar and Hugo to her grandmother Maeve, who is photographed beaming with delight at being introduced to the new additions to the family.

“Today was a special one. Hugo and Oscar met their great-grandmother for the very first time,” she shared, along with some photographs of the proud occasion, on Instagram.

She also added photos to her Instagram story and added: “It’s so important for us to have these photos and memories as she’s a very special part of our lives. It means the world to be able to introduce her to my own babies.”

The model has previously told how she suffered several miscarriages before welcoming her first daughter, Sophia, with husband Wes Quirke. The little girl was born via gestational surrogate in 2019.

To the couple’s surprise and delight, she became pregnant with twins the following year and the boys were born last November.

“I do think about it a lot but there was no medical explanation, my doctor was just as amazed as I was,” she said. “We had thought we’d go again with the surrogacy programme last summer – we had stopped trying to have kids ourselves.”

She later said that she thought the pregnancy might not last and that she was well into her twin pregnancy before she believed it would all go smoothly.

“I was 27 or 28 weeks pregnant when I finally started to believe that we’d actually have twin boys, but I tend to believe that I can handle whatever life throws at me, so I didn’t allow myself to feel too overwhelmed. I’m a positive person and always hope for the best,” she said.

Rosanna and Wes recently celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary.
