A re-filming of scenes from Disney flick Disenchanted is underway after initial shots filmed in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow were met with a “mixed reception” at a test screening.

The stars of the movie, Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, are currently re-shooting some scenes from the upcoming movie in Buckinghamshire, England.

Reshoots of the movie are also set to take place in New York City.

While it is common that some scenes of a film will need to be re-filmed, it appears that the ‘mixed reception’ of the original film has led to the producer’s decision to shoot new scenes in the UK.

Pictures from the set show Adams and Dempsey as they reprise their roles of Giselle and Robert Philip for the upcoming film.

As filming took place in Wicklow between May and August last year, Hollywood stars descended on Ireland.

James Marsden and Idina Menzel arrived in July to film their roles as Prince Edward and Nancy Tremaine respectively.

Disenchanted will premiere exclusively on Disney’s streaming platform Disney+ later this year.
