The couple celebrated their last festive season before their bundle of joy arrives early next year and said that they’re both “grateful” and “excited” to welcome a baby into the world.
Taking to Instagram on Christmas Day, Lisa shared a photo showing off her bump as she posed beside her amateur footballer fiancé Nathan with the Christmas tree in the background.
Captioning the photo, the Glaswegian wrote: “Our last Christmas as just us two & we’ve never been more grateful or excited for everything to come.
“Hope your Christmas is filled with happiness, health & everything you wish for. Especially thinking of and sending love to those who are spending today without their loved ones️. Merry Christmas, remember to make special memories.”
And Lisa has officially “signed off on maternity leave” after wrapping up her final show on Downtown Radio NI on St Stephen’s Day.
She has been taking over the airwaves every Saturday for the past 10 months.
The 33-year-old admitted that she couldn’t believe how quickly her pregnancy flew by and said that she “already cannot wait to be back on air very soon.”
“I just have a small little (absolutely not small at all, in fact the biggest of my life lol) matter to tend to first,” she joked.
Lisa and Nathan announced that they were expecting their first child together back in August.
The pair haven’t found out the baby’s sex yet, but Lisa believes that they will be having a girl.
“I thought it was a boy for a whole at the beginning but now [I am] starting to wonder if it is a girl. No idea why,” she told her Instagram followers.
“Neither of us have a preference to be honest. We are just so thankful to be in the position we are and all we hope for is a healthy baby and safe arrival.”
