In an Instagram story, he said: “Hi guys! Why not join myself and Daniel O’Donnell plus Mike Denver and loads more singers this Valentine’s Day for a free concert in aid of Breast Cancer Research?”

The ‘Wagon Wheel’ singer continued, “All you have to do is go to valentinesconcert.ie to check it out.”

Galway native Mike Denver also shared the news on his Instagram.

“Hi everybody, Mike Denver here. Just letting you know about a free concert that’s happening on Sunday 14th February, Valentine’s night, in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute,” announced the 40-year-old.

“On the night there’s Daniel O’Donnell and Majella, there’s Sean Keane, Cliona Hagan, Nathan Carter, Trudy Lawlor, Sandy Kelly, Mary Byrne, myself, Michelle Lally. There’s a host of guests.”

“They’re asking everybody to donate whatever you can; it’s all in aid of a good cause so please sit back, enjoy the night – Sunday, Valentine’s night - we’ll see you there!”

The charity concert will be hosted by Marc Roberts and is not an event to be missed.

Organised by the charity’s Galway fundraising committee, the concert’s proceeds will help to maintain funding for the breast cancer research team in NUI Galway.

The concert is free to attend but donations can be made to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute during the show or up to two weeks afterwards.

It is also available worldwide and can be accessed from 8pm on Valentine’s night at www.valentinesconcert.ie.
