The Banshees of Insherin tells the story of lifelong friends, played by Gleeson and Farrell, who have their friendship tested when one of them decides to cut ties with the other, set against a backdrop of life in rural Ireland.
Searchlight Pictures have acquired international rights to the film, and are now appealing for extras to appear onscreen with the A-List actors.
Casting directors for the film are looking for adults with a “natural look” aged 20+ for the background extra roles. All applicants must also be available between September and October for filming.
Those interested in taking part are being asked to send a clear photograph alongside their age, name, location, and phone number to westcoastbanshees@gmail.com.
The Banshees of Inisherin will see McDonagh team up once again with Farrell and Gleeson, having worked with the Irish actors on the 2008 black comedy In Bruges.
