Michael Fassbender has been spotted holding a baby on the set of his wife Alicia Vikander’s new HBO series.

Alicia is currently filming the upcoming HBO show Irma Vep in Paris, which is partly based on the 1996 film of the same name.

In the series, she will star as an Mira, an American actor who becomes disillusioned by her career and struggles to differentiate between herself and her roles.

In photos published by MailOnline, Alicia was photographed walking from her trailer in a white robe, while her husband followed behind with a small baby.

Michael was spotted cradling the child while supporting his wife on set.

It is the first time the Irish-German actor has been seen out with a baby and no further details are known.

Alicia and Michael met when they starred together in the romantic drama The Light Between Oceans, which was released in 2016.

But the pair made it clear in interviews that they were only willing to talk about work to the press and would not offer up details regarding their relationship.

When asked by Entertainment Weekly about working together while they were dating, Fassbender said: “I think we've made a clear statement that we keep certain things just between us.

“It was very easy to unite, but that's quite personal. Each to their own. I'm not going to talk about my private life with a total stranger, unless I feel like I need to. Why would I? I don't.”

The notoriously private couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Ibiza in 2017, and they have been living in Lisbon, Portugal since.
