Maura Higgins’ new RTÉ show has issued a casting call for identical twins.

The Love Island star was recently announced as the host of Glow Up: Ireland’s Next Make-Up Star, a beauty competition show that will air on RTÉ 2 this autumn.

RTÉ and production agency Indiepics are currently looking for pairs of identical twins to take part in the series.

Issuing a casting call on Twitter, they wrote: “#GlowUpIRL is looking for identical twins to take part in the show. Contact”

Speaking about her exciting new opportunity and first-ever presenting gig, Maura said: “I’m so excited to be the presenter of the first ever Glow Up Ireland.

“Having watched the last few series of the show in the UK this is such an amazing opportunity and the fact that this is my first presenting job and it's in Ireland is so overwhelming.

“It’s such a pinch me moment to be doing this back in my home country. I actually can’t believe it.

“Obviously we’re expecting a very high standard of Irish talent to come forward. Applications are now open so get in touch to be in with a chance of landing one of the top ten coveted spots on the show.”

Glow Up is an established television format, produced first for BBC Three in 2019 and is now available to stream on Netflix. Represented by Warner Bros, it has also been produced in territories like Norway, New Zealand and the Netherlands.

The competitive factual entertainment series will involve ten of Ireland’s best amateur make-up artists (MUAs) who will each compete to be crowned Ireland’s Next Make-Up Star and win a once in a lifetime opportunity to boost their professional career.

Each week, the MUAs will receive a range of assignments where they will show off their technical know-how, skill, artistry and imagination by creating amazing make-up transformations.
