Gift scrubbed Mario Rosenstock 'disappointed' as Today FM shelve Sunday show
MARIO Rosenstock has said he is "disappointed" after his popular Sunday radio show has been shelved by Today FM bosses.
The mimic took to Twitter to make the announcement insisting that the decision to axe the show was "not of his control."
However, he reassured fans of his early morning sketch show Gift Grub, that he wouldn't be leaving the station or the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show.
“A little bit of news. Due to circumstances beyond my control Mario’s Sunday Roast has come to an end," he wrote.
“We’ve had a great, make that a wonderful 2 and a half years, with growing numbers and even an IMRO nomination this year.
“I’m disappointed but I will of course continue doing my day job, ‘Gift Grub’ on Ian Dempsey.
“My Thanks to the great Patrick Haughey and Ruth Devaney producing.
“Have loved every minute of it, over and out.”
The popular comic and presenter had hosted his own Sunday afternoon radio show for almost two and a half years.
The show, Mario’s Sunday Roast’, ran from 11am –1pm and featured music and discussions with guests from the world of entertainment, culture and sport.
When contacted by the Sunday World, Mario declined to comment.
