Love Island star Lucinda Strafford has reportedly rekindled her romance with Irish footballer Aaron Connolly.

The 21-year-old entered the villa this summer as a hopeful singleton, but she was accused of still being a relationship with the Premier League footballer while she was on the show.

The former couple were spotted together looking cosy at a service station in Cobham, Surrey on Sunday.

A source told MailOnline: “Lucinda and Aaron started speaking again last week, but they're not officially back together, yet.”

It comes just weeks after Lucinda shut down rumours that the pair were still together, adding that “ship has definitely sailed” between them.

Insisting she was single during her time in the villa, Lucinda said: “I am completely and utterly single.

“Never in a million years would I go on Love Island if I was in a relationship, and I'm sure if I had a boyfriend, he wouldn't be very happy with it either,” she told MailOnline.

The Brighton native then explained that her former beau had been looking after her dog while she was in Mallorca for Love Island as they share the pup, continuing: “We ended quite dramatically at the start of March but then we made friends, and we share a dog, it's a shared dog and he's been looking after it.

“It was at my mum's house and my mum couldn't look after three dogs, so it seemed right, he was looking after it.

“We broke up quite a while ago now, but the ship has definitely sailed between him and me... Hopefully, he's moved on and I definitely have. It was a funny rumour.”

Aaron and Lucinda split up earlier this year after the Brighton and Hove Albion star cheated on her. They had been dating for two years.
