Louis Walsh insists his new boyband 'have got what it takes to be huge'
"They are all Irish. They are all from Leinster, they are aged 16 to 20. They are amazing"
Louis Walsh is hoping to repeat his chart succes
Louis Walsh has picked his new boyband - with plans for his new girl band put on the back burner.
The creator of Westlife and Boyzone is hoping to have a third globe-conquering boyband on his books with what we can reveal will be a new six-piece act.
"I have them all picked, I have the final six," Louis tells the Sunday World. "They are really good. No one has seen them, nothing.
"They are all Irish. They are all from Leinster, they are aged 16 to 20.
"I have loads of ideas for them, they are amazing."

Louis has created and managed six-pieces before, having taken over the running of male/female combo Six after they were formed in 2002 from the TV show Popstars, as well as spearheading six-member boyband Hometown back in 2013.
Both of those acts did reasonably well but disbanded after their careers did not take off in the UK.
But former X Factor Louis is convinced his new boyband will emulate the heights achieved by Westlife and Boyzone.
"There has been huge record company interest in them and there's a major gap in the market," he observes.
"There hasn't been a big boyband since One Direction and I'm sure these lads have got what it takes to be huge."
Boyzone
Louis held auditions for the new boyband at Dublin's Vicar Street last November.
During the same weekend he also held auditions for a new girlband, with hundreds of young women descending on the venue hoping for a chance at fame.
But while there are concrete plans for the boyband, it appears the girlband has been put on the back burner.
"I may do something with them next year, but not at the moment," he told us.
"I've too much going on right now with the new boyband, and also Westlife's tour, which includes outdoor shows in Dublin and Cork, as well as the likes of Wembley stadium in London."
