Louis is looking for 'talented young singers' aged 16-21 to come forward
The former X Factor judge who has managed everyone from Girls Aloud to chart-toppers Westlife, released details of auditions last month as he announced that he was on the hunt for Ireland's hottest new band.
Open to “talented young singers” aged between 16 to 21, he wants anyone who can sing and perform to apply for the first round of auditions.
The deadline for video clip entries has now been extended to this Sunday 14th November at 6pm. It had originally been tomorrow, Friday 12th November.
Successful applicants will be contacted by Monday 15th November if selected to audition.
Boyband final auditions will take place at Vicar Street on the 20th November, and girl band auditions will be held the following day, November 21st.
Applications are asked to send their details, along with a short video clip of themselves performing –which can be linked to their YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or just filmed on their phone – to email@example.com.
Walsh recently revealed that he hopes to launch more than one new Irish pop act from his latest search for home grown talent.
“I'm holding auditions for boys and girls and I'm going to see what I find,” Louis told the Sunday World.
“The act I launch might be boys, it might be girls, it might be a solo girl. There might be more than one act coming out of it. Anything is possible. It's wide open.
“I'd love kids from around the country to come forward and grab this opportunity. The age group I'm looking for is 16 to 21. They don't have to have any experience. They just have to have attitude.
“It will also be very fashion and image driven. I have great songwriters in England lined up. Colin Barlow and Brian Higgins are involved. They did all the Girls Aloud and Boyzone and Samantha Mumba.”
