"We've been waiting a long time for this day and it was just absolutely gorgeous,” she said.

"It was just John's family and our family and we did the registry office, which is the same registry office myself and Fabio got married in, and it was just gorgeous.”

“It's just a really, really nice short, quick ceremony. We all went out for dinner afterwards. We partied into the wee hours of the night, which I haven't done in about two and a half years.”

"It was a fab day,” she continued.

“It was great to get the two families together because the two families actually haven't been together in a long time and it was my first night out since having a baby. It was really great."

Lottie said that while her sister didn’t tell them what she was wearing for her wedding day, she just knew Bonnie would wear a suit.

"She wouldn't tell us what she was wearing and I said, I betcha anything, she's going to wear a suit. I don't know why I just had it in my head.”

The suit Bonnie wore was designed by Nadine Merabi and her hat was Carol Kennelly, an accessory even her family never expected but described as "phenomenal" nonetheless.

"The thing I love about what she wore is she will literally get so much wear out of all of those pieces,” she Lottie said of the white suit which was designed by Nadine Merabi.

“She can wear that blazer with jeans, with she'll just get so much wear out of it. She looked incredible and I think it's great to wear something that's completely different to what you're going to wear on your actual wedding day.”

"It gives you two reasons to have too fab outfits, I think she had Bianca Jagger vibes for me on the day. I just thought she looked phenomenal."

On Saturday, 29-year-old Bonnie took to Instagram where she shared a glimpse into her big day as she told her 86,000 followers that she had tied the knot.

“Yesterday, myself and John got legally married in front of our immediate families.”

“It was the most special day,” she continued.

“Our actual wedding day will be early this summer but we feel very lucky to have had a beautiful start to the celebrations yesterday.”

“Thank you for all the messages.”

She also shared a reel showing off the details of her stunning white wedding suit which she paired with a hat, white YSL bag and platform heels.

The following day Sunday World exclusively revealed the happy couple’s plan to tie the knot at a larger ceremony with friends and family at a church in Italy.

Her sisters Lottie and Babette will be her bridesmaids, while best friend and fellow influencer Rosie Connolly will be among the wedding party.

This will be the second time Bonnie has attempted to get married in Italy, having cancelled before due to Covid restrictions.

Bonnie has already picked out her wedding dress and also undertaken marriage guidance classes with John in her home area of Clontarf.

The couple have been engaged for just over two years after John proposed in New York in November 2019.

The love birds have been together for nearly 13 years, since they were both teenagers.
