Streaming service Prime Video has revealed the line-up for the first ever Irish Original series LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland.

Presented by Graham Norton, the show will pit stand up comics against one another in a battle of jokes to see who will be the ultimate winner.

Norton will oversee the 10 stars, brought together to make each other laugh by using every unpredictable comedic tool in the box without cracking a smile themselves.

There will also be the added bonus of some celebrity cameos to try and break the celebrities but as the clock counts down and the tension rises, whoever can outlast their competitors will be crowned the first winner of LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland and win a grand prize of €50,000 for their charity of choice.

The series was announced earlier this year but SundayWorld.com can now reveal that it will feature a who’s who of Irish comedy including Aisling Bea, Amy Huberman, David McSavage, Deirdre O’Kane, Emma Doran, Jason Byrne, Catherine Bohart, Martin Angolo, Paul Tylak, and Tony Cantwell.

The fan-favourite LOL: Last One Laughing format has already proven to be a huge hit for Prime Video in Italy, France, Australia, Spain, Canada and Germany and has featured household names like Rebel Wilson (Australia).

The South African version is also in the pipeline and will be fronted by Trevor Noah.

The Irish show will be produced by Kite Entertainment with Darren Smith (Gogglebox Ireland, Ireland’s Got Talent, Ireland’s Fittest Family) at the helm and will be available to watch in early 2024.

Prime members will be able to watch all episodes of LOL: Last One Laughing Ireland anywhere and anytime on the Prime Video app for smart TVs, mobile devices, Fire TV, Fire TV stick, Fire tablets, games consoles, on Virgin’s V6 TV Box, the TalkTalk TV set top box, Sky Q, Apple TV, Chromecast, BT TV, or online at www.amazon.co.uk/primevideo.

In the Prime Video app, Prime members can download episodes on their mobile devices and tablets and watch anywhere offline at no additional cost. Prime Video is available in the UK and Ireland at no extra cost to a Prime membership for just £8.99 a month or £95 per year.
