Lily-Rose Depp took to the red carpet for the world premiere of the Irish movie set to propel her acting career.

Depp jetted to Toronto International Film Festival this weekend for the first screening of psychological thriller Wolf, which she filmed in Dublin last year.

Early reviews have been strong for the movie, which is about “species dysphoria” - a bizarre disorder where humans think they are in the body of the wrong species.

In the movie, which is backed by Screen Ireland, she plays a character named Tomcat who is having treatment in a special clinic for the disorder. The movie also stars 1917 star George MacKay, Normal People star Fionn O’Shea and Paddy Considine.

The movie was written and directed by Irish-based filmmaker Nathalie Biancheri and filmed across numerous locations around Dublin last year, following delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The actress daughter of Johnny Depp and French singer Vanessa Paradis managed to keep a low profile while filming here over several weeks. She was also seen on the red carpet on Friday night with Biancheri and the film’s Irish producers Jessie Fisk and Jane Doolan.

Lily-Rose wore a pink slip Chanel dress with a large purple ribbon in her hair for the premiere. The star has been a brand ambassador with the French fashion house for a number of years. Wolf opens in cinemas in December.
