Yesterday, she revealed that she was struck down with Covid-19 while enjoying her honeymoon with new husband Rob Kearney.
Taking to Instagram today, the blushing bride said she doesn’t regret any of her wedding weekend.
“I wouldn't take anything back the weekend we had it was everything I've ever dreamt of and so much more.”
“We all have to live through this pandemic and we can and will get through it with setbacks along the way,” she added.
“As my dad used to say ‘Que sera sera’.”
When pressed by a follower who asked if she asked guests to test each day before the weekend, Jess said that they left antigen tests in everyone's room.
"At end of the day, we all have our own individual responsibility as well," she added.
Revealing her poorly-timed diagnosis she said: “First day of honeymoon before it all kicked off,” sharing a carefree snap of herself enjoying a cocktail in her bikini.
"I was taking a break from social media and was in two minds about posting what's been happening but like other subjects, I feel it's important to shine a light on and talk openly about.”
“After two days away, we got news that we were close contacts so had to isolate, then my PCR test confirmed I had Covid so 10 days of isolation,” she said.
"Felt every emotion and certainly not the honeymoon we had planned. Just glad that everyone I love is safe.”
Jess and Rob jetted off on their romantic honeymoon just days after they said “I do” at a lavish wedding in Co. Clare.
Speaking about their decision to head off on a sun holiday right after their big day she said: "I could have waited until I finished my placement but I really just wanted a break from work and a holiday with my husband post-wedding,” she continued.
"We're all in uncharted territory so just trying to do the best we can.”
"Felt awful to miss work but so many of us are in the same boat - trying to practice what I always preach and just be gentle and kind to myself - hope you guys are all keeping safe and well.”
Prior to being struck down with the virus, the couple soaked up the sun after jetting off to an exotic unknown location last week.
