Jess Redden has revealed the sweet way that her late father will be included in her wedding day.

The pharmacy student and her fiancé Rob Kearney were due to get married in June this year but brought their wedding forward to November 2020 after her beloved father Brian became ill.

The 28-year-old was hoping that her father would walk her down the aisle, but Brian sadly lost his battle with prostate cancer last September before Jess and Rob could tie the knot.

While her dad is no longer with her, Jess still wants her father to play a part at her wedding and took to Instagram to share how she would remember him on her big day.

Answering a question from a fan about her dad on her Stories, the model said: “I remember my dad almost every second of the day – sometimes I laugh and smile at the memories and other times I wake up in tears… it’s such a rollercoaster.”

She then shared a photo of the back of her wedding dress, which had the words “My Darling Dad, forever in my heart,” stitched in blue thread.

Jess explained: “My mum sewed this in to the back of my dress so he will still be with me when I walk down the aisle.”

The Dubliner’s tribute to her late father is particularly special as she revealed earlier this year that he helped to pick out her wedding dress before he died.

Speaking to Brian Dowling on his Death Becomes Him podcast back in March, she said: “The biggest thing for me with the wedding was Dad, so everything was centred around Dad... Even with my dress, he picked my wedding dress. I tried one on and he was like ‘That’s the one,’ and I said ‘Yeah, that’s the one.’”
