Jess Redden has said that it “feels so good to be home” for Christmas after spending her honeymoon in isolation with Covid-19.

The 28-year-old revealed that she tested positive for the virus just days after she jetted to the sun following her wedding to Rob Kearney earlier this month.

Jess and Rob were forced to isolate for 10 days soon after they arrived at their tropical honeymoon destination.

However, the newlyweds got to enjoy the last few days of their romantic trip away, with Jess admitting that she still had a ball despite being “sick as a dog” with Covid.

Taking to Instagram during the week to share some photos of her stunning holiday outfits, the pharmacist-in-training announced that she was preparing to come home for Christmas by writing: “It was all picture perfect at least it did seem, until I found out I had covid19.

“Some tears were shed and I was sick as a dog, but a few days did pass and I shifted that fog.

“Not the honeymoon we’d planned to be spent in quarantine, but nothing can take away the memories and love not even covid-19 #homeforchristmas”

Captioning another post in which she modelled wearing a crisp white sundress, she wrote: “I’m coming home” followed by some green, white, and orange emoji hearts.

Arriving at Dublin Airport on Wednesday evening with her rugby star husband in tow, Jess shared a photo of an ad for Brennan’s bread at baggage reclaim that read “Home at last” and told her followers that she was “heading straight for dins” with her sister and mum Linda.

“Feels so good to be home,” she added.

She then posted some photos as she grabbed a bite to eat with her family at Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant in Dundrum, where she enjoyed a few drinks to celebrate being home.

“So good to see the fam – oh gosh, when will the bubbles stop?” she wrote.
