Jackass star Steve-O has taken a pop at Conor McGregor, after the Dubliner branded him a 'crack head' during a Twitter rant against Justin Gaethje.

Gaethje was attempting to win the UFC's 155lb title at the second time when he took on Oliveira at UFC 274.

The lightweight star tapped out against Oliveira, who had been stripped of the belt on Friday after failing to make weight and so couldn't win the belt.

But the Brazilian took down Gaethje and forced him to tap from a rear-naked choke in the opening round.

Oliveira will challenge for the vacant belt in his next fight with potential challengers including Islam Makhachev, Michael Chandler and McGregor.

The Irishman, who is currently completing his recovery from the broken leg he suffered in his trilogy-fight defeat by Dustin Poirier last summer, took to Twitter to lash out at Gaethje, with whom he has a long-standing rivalry.

"Gaethje is a jackass," McGregor wrote. "The amount of absolute dribble he speaks as well. Over and over. A Grad- A jackass! A bird brain with a bird-brain manager. Two bum t**** they are. He is. A Jackass."

He added: “Stevo Ocrack head in recovery should see if Johnny can give him a part.”

Taking to Instagram, Steve-O, who has battled drug addiction, retorted: “I don’t know what’s gone further downhill, Conor’s fighting or the entertainment value of his insults.

“Dude’s giving ‘trash talk’ a whole new meaning… Let’s get him a winnable tune-up fight, @danawhite, I don’t want to see the guy fall any further!"

Fellow Jackass star Chris Pontius replied: "That guy seems to really like putting others down and boasting about money, but in a way, I kind of feel sorry for him."

Fans also took to the comments section to back up Steve-O, within one writing: “I have no idea what’s going on but this man indeed cannot roast” another added: “Nobody talks about Steve-O like that! Not on my watch!

One jokes: “Those certainly are all words, they just really don't connect like they should... kind of like his striking."

This isn't the first time the UFC star and and Steve-O have traded online blows. McGregor previously labelled the daredevil a 'crack head' following a video posted by UFC's official Twitter account in July 2021 in which the Jackass star predicted a Dustin Poirier win over the Dubliner.

Steve-O was quick to retort: "Since Conor McGregor says I'm a "crackhead" for picking Dustin Poirier to beat him tonight at UFC 264, there must be crackheads everywhere, because I've not heard about any actual professionals picking Conor," he said in an Instagram caption.
