The 34-year-old appeared on FM104 where he revealed the moment he received news he landed a role in the new Disney+ series.
“It was completely unexpected, you do these auditions and you feel as though you're entering a lottery when things like this come along,” he said.
“My agent called me on a Saturday morning which was weird because he usually isn’t working, so then he told me ‘so yes, you've been offered it darling’.”
“I was so shocked, so much so he had to call me 30 seconds after the first phone call ended just to tell me ‘yes that phone call did really happen’,” he joked.
Fra plays Kazi, a member of the Tracksuit Mafia in the series which also stars Jeremy Renner, Hailie Steinfeld, Florence Pugh and Tony Dalton.
“I just celebrated for about two weeks and then was a nervous wreck after that because of course after the celebrations it was like now I actually have to do it.”
“I'm a huge fan of this world and it’s a dreamy scenario so I’m thrilled.”
Fra previously starred in 2012 film Les Misérables and the 2021 live-action remake of Cinderella starring Camilla Cabello and Idina Menzel.
He has also had roles on stage in Westend productions of Dirty Dancing, A Little Night Music and The Ferryman.
Speaking about the Marvel universe, Fra said he was delighted he got to perform stunts.
“It is deadly, I hadn't done a tonne of stunt training before anything I done was onstage which isn't quite as realised, and of course we were not doing any contact, but it's full on and I loved immersing myself in it. I really did.”
He also went on to praise the film’s stunt team.
“The stunt team, I think, are the real superheroes of this whole industry. They make it seem so, so easy and [they’re] a joy to work with and a joy to be trained by, so I adored that.”
When it comes to spoilers, the actor said he sometimes reveals details to his beloved mother.
“I’m sometimes very naughty and tell my ma only because there's no way the news will get out, she has no idea what I'm even in really but bless her she's still watching it… so yes I'm fairly good.”
