gig news I’ll be back with my band for the first time in a year for a St Patrick's Day livestream gig

We haven’t seen each other for a year, which seems incredibly weird considering how we would normally be living in each other’s pockets.

THIS coming Wednesday is, of course, St Patrick’s Day, and in the current climate the celebrations and festivities will be mostly online.

And this St Patrick’s Day I’ll be doing my first ever live stream with the band since lockdown began a year ago.

Not alone am I looking forward to singing and performing with the band again, I’m also looking forward to meeting up with them.

We haven’t seen each other for a year, which seems incredibly weird considering how we would normally be living in each other’s pockets.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a year since we all played our last live gig, so there is lots of rehearsing going on at the minute to oil the machine and get the engine running perfectly again.

When you’re not performing regularly it’s amazing how quickly you forget the words of songs. I’ve spent the last couple of weeks singing along to the tracks on my albums to refresh the memory bank and get the vocal muscle primed for action.

I’ll also be doing new songs such as Sarah Jane and Wings To Fly, which I’ve never performed live before.

And of course we’ll be doing a lot of Irish songs like Home To Donegal and Dublin In The Rare Auld Time for the day that’s in it.

We have missed out on tours in America, Germany the UK and Ireland in the last year

For people who have never seen us on St Patrick’s Day before, it gives them a chance experience the show and to celebrate the day, particularly people who are away from home and living in foreign parts.

This is a great opportunity for people to celebrate with us no matter where they are in the world that day.

So if you’ve got family or friends living abroad please let them know. Tickets for the online show are available from www.dice.fm
