Greg O’Shea has weighed in on this year’s Love Island and has revealed his favourite Islanders.

The Ireland Rugby Sevens star won the fifth series of the popular dating show in 2019 with Amber Gill after entering the villa just two weeks before the final.

After recovering from his stint at the Tokyo Olympic Games last month, Greg has finally revealed what he thinks of this year’s summer of love.

The Limerick native admitted that he hasn’t been watching the show “religiously” but said that he still has his favourites.

Speaking to his Instagram followers, he said: “I’m gonna answer collectively on my Stories who my Love Island couple are this series because I can’t get back to everyone on DMs so, sorry about that.

“My favourite Love Island couple – look, I haven’t been watching it religiously, so I don’t know the couples well enough. I just don’t know them well enough to have a favourite.

“But I do have favourite Islanders.”

Greg said that Teddy, who recently rekindled his romance with Faye after a dramatic fallout, is the top of his list while Chloe, who is coupled up with Toby, is his number one girl in the villa.

“Teddy – literally coolest person alive, just so chill,” the 26-year-old said.

“Really cool looking, looks like John Legend. Just has a lot going for him. I’m a fan of him.

“My favourite girl Islander is Chloe. I just think she’s hilarious, her banter is top notch so I’m a fan of her.”

Greg added that he thinks that Millie, who is going steady with Liam, is also “pretty cool” before admitting: “But yeah, I know that none of them are in couples with each other but look, that’s the best I have for you.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
