Christine Lampard has raved about a Belfast restaurant after enjoying a meal with her husband Frank for their wedding anniversary.

The Loose Women panellist and football manager celebrated six years of marriage with a decadent dinner at Michelin-winners Deanes EIPIC in central Belfast.

They were joined by Christine’s sister Nicola Bleakley and posed for a festive photo with chef Alex Greene at their table.

They were delighted to sample Alex's ‘The Incredible Edible Book’, his dessert inspired by local author Oliver Jeffers’ book ‘The Incredible Book Eating Boy.’

Christine and Frank also enjoyed a bite to eat at Howard Street restaurant in the city before visiting The Merchant Hotel at the Cathedral Quarter for some cocktails.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Christine shared a series of photos from her trip – including a snap The Merchant’s impressive Christmas tree and delicious drinks.

Captioning the post, she wrote: “The obligatory festive photo dump.

“Take me back to #Belfast and the fantastic food at @deanes_eipic @michaeldeane61 with @greatbritishmenu super chef @chefalexgreene. I can’t believe we actually got to sample your edible book!

“And to the ever hospitable staff and glorious cocktails at @merchantbelfast. The perfect way to celebrate our anniversary @franklampard.”

Frank and Christine have been together since 2009 after getting together at the Pride of Britain awards.

They tied the knot in a star-studded winter wedding in 2015 and have since welcomed two children together: Patricia (three) and 10-month-old Freddie.

Frank also has two older daughters from his previous relationship with Elen Rivas: Luna (16) and Isla (14).
