Former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter has shared some gorgeous snaps from a romantic getaway to Kilkenny with boyfriend Jamie Hunt.

The couple spent the “best weekend” in Kilkenny’s Hibernian Hotel where they enjoyed some cocktails inside the hotel bar.

They also enjoyed a picnic by the River Nore with a stunning view of Kilkenny Castle as they enjoyed some treats in the sunshine.

The 29-year-old even tried her hand at falconry on the 5-star Lyrath Estate, posing with one of the birds on her Instagram.

Holly hilariously captioned the post: “What do you call a religious hawk?... a bird of pray.

“I’ll get my coat. This is Mabel she’s a gas bird.”

Sharing some more photos to Twitter, the model wrote: “I wish I could relive the weekend all over again! #Kilkenny”

Her friend James Kavanagh couldn’t contain his jealousy, replying with: “VERY jeal of that weekend.”

Another user was quick to compliment her, writing: “Looks fab. And so do you!”

Before she set off on her holiday though, Holly had a wardrobe crisis and had no idea what outfits to bring with her.

She tweeted: “I’m packing my bags for a staycation in Kilkenny and I’ve just completely trashed my house and packed enough for a week at least. Is anyone else horrendous at packing?”

But she soon found out that she wasn’t alone in her struggles as many of her followers responded saying that their packing skills aren’t up to scratch either.

One follower said: “Worst on the planet. Always forget at least one thing. You know whenyou open your luggage and as soon as you do... you’re thinking... really?”

Another gave Holly some much-needed advice, writing: “It’s better to be looking at it than for it! I’m off to Cork for two days and am bringing enough for two weeks,” to which Holly replied, “Ok I’m banking on this saying!”
