Greg O’Shea has opened up about his career plans after the Olympic Games.

The former Love Island winner is currently in Tokyo as he prepares to represent Ireland in the Men’s Rugby Sevens category from Monday, July 26, where the squad will play South Africa.

Speaking on his Instagram stories today from his bed in Tokyo, the Limerick native, who recently passed his FE-1 law exams, answered some questions about his career path post-Olympics.

He said that while he is “fully focused” on the Games at the moment, he would like to try out his hand at TV presenting some day.

“The Olympics has been the main goal for years so my mind hasn’t really gone passed [sic] this point too much!” Greg said.

“I’m thinking of possibly moving to the UK to try out some TV and presenting work again because I really enjoy that stuff.

“Also I’d like to provide you guys & girls with more content because I haven’t put any real time into that work.

“This all depends on chatting to the people close to me though and figuring out how I feel after the Olympics and what I really want!

“But first my mind is fully focused on the Olympics,” he added.

The 26-year-old also told his followers that while he spent a lot of time working towards passing his law exams, a solicitor traineeship isn’t “in the plans at the moment.”

He said: “I’ve passed a lot of the law exams but I only did them as a back up plan. Just incase [sic] everything else doesn’t work out for me you know!

“Law just doesn’t excite me as much as sport and the other presenting & social media work I’ve done, so I’m hoping to keep doing that enjoyable work in the future!”
