On the birth of their first child Eamon also took to Twitter to announce the arrival when he wrote: "Delighted to welcome our beautiful baby girl into the world, this morning . Both Fiona and our daughter are doing great. She's amazing (thank God she got her mother's looks)."

He included a photo of him with mother and baby, in which both he and Fiona are beaming with joy.

Eamon and Fiona tied the knot on New Year's Eve 2015, exactly one year after he proposed to her in New York.

They had the ceremony in Clongowes College Church in Kildare and held their reception in the exclusive K Club that was attended by Eamon’s fellow Dublin team mates.

Among the GAA stars was Bernard Brogan, who also welcomed twins in July 2018 and a third child in June of this year.
