“Can't wait to share all the videos/photos over the next few days ( connection on the Himalayas is shocking at the moment)”

Fair City star Ryan Andrews has reached Base Camp of Mount Everest.
The actor set off for the peak of the world’s highest mountain just one week ago and on Monday night he announced that he had completed his journey.
“Day.9 Everest Base Camp - 5,364m,” he shared.
“We did it, we made it! Our final push, we left the village of Gorak Shep early yesterday morning for the final 2-hour journey!”
“We landed at Base Camp & it was a very surreal feeling, as always for me it's never really about the finish line, it has always & will always be about the journey/process & I've loved every second of this one,” he continued.

“A DREAM written down becomes A GOAL. A goal broken down becomes A PLAN. A plan backed by ACTION makes your dreams A REALITY,” he added.
“Can't wait to share all the videos/photos over the next few days ( connection on the Himalayas is shocking at the moment).”
“Currently back down at roughly 4,300m & I start my journey back to Katmandu tomorrow!,” he concluded.

The 29-year-old travelled to Nepal at the beginning of April ahead of the brave climb.
“Arriving in Nepal after 2 delayed flights & experiencing the busy streets of Kathmandu was surreal,” he shared on his first day.
“The Nepalese people are extremely welcoming & this city is like nothing I've ever witnessed before! Today was a full day to get organised, travel around, get extra gear if needed & most importantly plan/pack for tomorrow - Kathmandu to Lukla (world's #1 most dangerous airport) to officially start the journey to Base Camp."
He brought his fans along with him on his climb as he shared many pictures and updates along the way.
On day he shared: "Our final stop of the day after 6 hours of trekking (I completely underestimated the length of this journey, reading it on an itinerary is completely different than experiencing it in real life) was Pyramid international laboratory- observatory where we stayed the night!"

"You can definitely feel the Altitude change & body's starting to slow down & the weather has dropped to -3° which all take it toll on the body!"
He added that it was special day as they headed towards Lobouche and visited the Everest Memorial, Chukipi Lhara, a memorial to the Sherpas and Climbers who died during the treacherous journey to the top of Everest.
"We payed our respects, a very humbling experience, hard to describe the feeling!"
"A fitting end to the evening we watched 14Peaks @nimsdai I watched this for the 1st time in Januray & literally became obsessed with @nimsdai a huge inspiration over these past few months, I made a plan, booked this trip & now here I am watching it again the night before the final 6/7 hour push towards E.B.C!"
