Old School DWTS couple Matthew MacNabb and Laura Nolan visit Downpatrick primary school
The Love Island star and the Dublin dancer confirmed their relationship after they were eliminated from Dancing With The Stars last night
Matthew MacNabb brought his girlfriend Laura Nolan to his hometown today after they were eliminated from Dancing With The Stars on Sunday night.
The Love Island star and the Dublin dancer were the eighth pair to get booted from the competition and narrowly missed out on a spot in this week’s final.
And the couple, who finally confirmed their relationship during Sunday night’s show after weeks of dating rumours, made their first outing as boyfriend and girlfriend on Wednesday by paying a visit to Matthew’s old primary school in Co. Down.
Matthew and Laura headed to Downpatrick to greet the pupils in St Patrick’s Primary School Legamaddy to “spread good vibes” and hand out some Crème Eggs.
Taking to Instagram, Laura shared a photo of the delighted schoolchildren sitting in the sun and said: “Such a lovely morning meeting at the students at Legamaddy School” before posting a throwback photo of her beau back in his primary school days.
“Look who it is. Always bound to be a model,” she joked.
After the school visit, the couple made sure to grab an iced coffee while they soaked up the sunshine, with Laura writing: “All summer feels.”
It comes after the professional dancer admitted that didn’t expect to fall for the Love Island hunk.
“Absolutely not. You come into the show and you’re thinking about the dancing, the partner you’ve been given and how you can improve them,” she explained.
“You’re thinking about week on week, how you can progress and move forward in dancing, that’s your main priority.

“But it just happened that me and Matthew got on so well, so it was pretty natural to be honest.
“I never overthought anything, it wasn’t something I predicted to happen, but it just naturally happened.
“Each week we were just focusing on the next dance and pushing through it.
“In the meantime we just happened to really enjoy each other’s company and get on very well, so it was just very natural,” she added.
