Dubliner Aisling Franciosi to star in new Netflix drama with Sandra Bullock
Actress Aisling Franciosi
Irish actor Aisling Franciosi will star opposite Sandra Bullock in a new Netflix drama.
The Dubliner previously played Katie Benedetto in the RTÉ and BBC Two crime drama television series The Fall. Her other acting credits include Game of Thrones, Legends, and Black Narcissus.
Directed by award-winning German filmmaker Nora Fingdscheidt, The Unforgivable is based on the 2009 ITV miniseries Unforgiven, which starred Suranne Jones.
As well as Franciosi and Bullock, the cast also includes Viola Davis, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Richard Thomas, and Rob Morgan.

The synopsis reads: “Released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime, Ruth Slater (Sandra Bullock) re-enters a society that refuses to forgive her past.
“Facing severe judgment from the place she once called home, her only hope for redemption is finding Katie (Aisling Franciosi), the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.”
The Unforgivable will be released in selected cinemas from Wednesday 24th November and will be available to stream on Netflix from Friday 10th December.
Sharing the trailer on her Instagram account, Franciosi wrote: “Feel very lucky to have been a part of this production with a great cast and crew.”
