Dermot Kennedy to play two gigs in one night due to Covid restrictions

Dermot Kennedy
Dermot Kennedy’s scheduled charity gigs will go ahead next week, with the singer playing two concerts per night to comply with the current Covid health restrictions.
From December 7th, indoor events – including concerts, theatre performances, and indoor sports games – can only go ahead at 50pc capacity.
A growing number of scheduled gigs have been postponed or cancelled entirely due to the new Covid-19 restrictions, but Dermot Kennedy fans will be pleased to hear that he will still be playing Dublin’s 3Arena next week.
The Outnumbered singer was due to perform two special concerts, called ‘You Won’t Get Lonely,’ on December 13th and 14th with all proceeds going towards Pieta House and Focus Ireland.
However, due to current restrictions, the gigs will now be operating at half capacity with the Dubliner playing an additional concert each night.
He will now be playing a concert at 5pm followed by another gig at 9pm on both the 13th and 14th December. All four performances will be fully seated.

The news was confirmed today by Irish concert promotion company MCD Productions.
In a Twitter thread, the company said: “@DermotKennedy's shows at @3ArenaDublin on 13 & 14th December will go ahead, but to comply with new capacity restrictions there will now be two shows per night.
“Early show: Doors 5pm // Late show: Doors 9pm.
“All tickets will be valid for the original day of purchase, and all ticket holders will be notified directly from their point of purchase of which show (Early or Late) their tickets will access. We thank everyone for their patience.”
Over on his own Twitter account, Dermot added: “Had to change some things around but the Dublin shows next week are going ahead, which makes me so happy! I hope everyone can still make it. I can’t wait to see you soon! X”
