The Outnumbered singer admitted that he has a bit of a sweet tooth
The Outnumbered singer admitted that he has a bit of a sweet tooth and requests a few boxes of chocolates on his show rider.
Speaking at Hits Live in Birmingham over the weekend, the Dubliner said: “There was two boxes of Celebrations, and I've had time today too, so one of them came back to the hotel. I had a bath and some Maltesers. I was watching the football, life is good.”
He said that he had a break from booze at the concert as he’d been drinking with his dad during the week.
“If we’re on tour I could have some whiskey, some lemon and ginger, some honey, classic thing. If I can make a hot toddy before I go on stage, that’s good.
“Me and my dad were in London working on some stuff so there was a lot of Guinness the last few days so I’m good today. I’m Irish so it’s always Guinness season. It doesn’t come and go.”
The 29-year-old also opened up about having to cancel his tour when lockdown happened in March 2020.
“We had about six dates left on American tour,” he explained.
“We had to cancel Australia coming into the summer and then beyond that just cancelling, cancelling, cancelling - well, postponing the whole time.
“Australia in particular, we still have to get there. Do you know what I mean? It's still postponed. I have every intention of doing every single show that's been pushed and we've gotten some of them done.
“All that sort of stuff. Yeah, we’re in the middle of a tour. Same as a lot of people. We were lucky. We got a lot done.
“It’s been such a long time since people have seen live music,” he added.
