Country star Lisa McHugh has revealed that she is set to wed her fiance Nathan Khan “very soon.”

The couple, who met on a night out in Co Fermanagh four years ago, got engaged in August 2020.

They were due to tie the knot last year, but when McHugh got pregnant with their first child they postponed their nuptials.

Speaking to RSVP Live, the Scottish born singer said that their wedding will be “very soon.”

"It is gonna be a busy year,” she said.

The new mum gave birth to a baby boy named Milo just eight weeks ago and has plans to return to the stage for Farmers Bash in Belfast next month.

During an Instagram Q&A with her fans she said she is loving family life.

"I have started working on bits and pieces behind the scenes for things coming up when I have had the chance. But I'm still very much enjoying the bubble we are in at the minute.

"I have never been better. So happy and thankful. He will be eight weeks old tomorrow. Time is flying.

"I just go with the flow everyday and follow his lead.”

Discussing her upcoming nuptials, McHugh told Sunday World that she bought her wedding dress in Glasgow.

"I have the dress, which I found when I went out shopping with my mum and sister on a visit home to Glasgow last year. It was lovely to have that opportunity to go to the shops because it's a dream for every bride to have the experience of trying on so many beautiful wedding dresses.

"Now I have everything sorted. I have everything ready to go… just not a 100 per cent guarantee that we can go ahead with the day we want, so that's what we're waiting for. And, of course, our baby will be at the wedding, which will make it even more special."

Opening up about her pregnancy, she explained that it was something she didn’t take for granted.

"It's something that you can never really take for granted or assume it's going to happen, so we're delighted that we've been lucky enough, thankfully," she told Eddie Rowley.

"Everything was planned for us to get married this year, and then we had to reschedule with everything that is going on. We then just wanted to go with the flow and see if what was meant to be would be…and we were lucky enough to get the amazing news.

"It's something that I've always wanted. I've always been obsessed with babies. I've been lucky enough to have eight nieces and nephews and I'm obsessed with them. It's something that Nathan has wanted and dreamed of as well, to start our own family.

"The pregnancy has been great," she continued. "Apart from a bit of tiredness I have been fantastic, I've been feeling amazing, so I'm very, very lucky because I know it can be so different. For me, thankfully, it's been a breeze.

"It's been very hard to keep it to ourselves for the last four-and-a-half months. I've been like a recluse hiding at home to avoid people. We just wanted to enjoy the first while ourselves, because it's such a special experience and time for us.”
