MMA fighter Conor McGregor has welcomed the birth of his new son Rían McGregor this afternoon.

Writing on Instagram today, the Crumlin native said: “The McGregor clan is now a family of five.

“Healthy baby boy delivered! Baby and mammy Wonder Woman are doing great!

“God I thank you for everything you give to me and my family in this world.”

The 32-year-old now has three children with his longtime partner, Dee Devlin. The couple have been together since 2008, and in August of last year they got engaged.

“Forever love, my fiancé,” Devlin wrote on her Instagram at the time, revealing the diamond ring she had received.

McGregor also announced the news on Devlin’s birthday, saying on Instagram: “What a birthday, my future wife!”

He told RSVP magazine that they plan on getting married in Ireland. He added the event will be “extravagant, the very best”. However, there has been no announcement as of yet as to when it will take place.

“I'm gonna get married in the emerald isle, and then figure it out, so it's a big process. Let's see what happens, I'm ready for it all,” he said.

He had previously told the Irish Times that Devlin stood by him while he was struggling to make a name for himself in the MMA world.

“For me to be able to take her out of work, give her everything she's ever wanted and to travel the world with her fills me with pride. It keeps me going,” he said.

The couple welcomed their first child together - Conor Jack McGregor - on May 5, 2017. Their second child, Croía McGregor, was born January 2, 2019.
