Conor McGregor has unleashed a new Covid-19 related tweet that follows on from his recent tirade on the subject.

"Unvaxx double vaxx scumbags! Dangers to society all of you! I blame you all when this takes hold,” he wrote in a new tweet today that has since been deleted.

The obscure message follows a stream of recent pot shots he has taken on social media in relation to many aspects of the pandemic including the government, and vaccines.

Last week the MMA fighter even took on a new Covid variant first detected in Botswana.

“Guys did you hear? We’ve to watch out for this Botswana yoke now,” he said in a tweet.

“It sounds serious,” he continued. “It’s not protected against our vaccines also. ‘Vaccine laughed at’ it said. Crazy! Chances of hitting the deck have now trebled again, so back in your box.”

“This message directly from Tony Baloni,” he said, taking a swipe at HSE Chief Medical officer Tony Holohan.

“Oh no! This Botswana is worse than the Delta!” he said in a follow up tweet, adding: “But trust me when I say, it's F**K ALL TO THE ALPHA! Oh yes!”

In a recent tirade the 33-year-old said that vaccines are not working.

“The vaccines have not worked to stop this whatsoever. More vaccinated than ever. More cases than ever. Re-evaluate entirely. Stop taking handouts,” he said in a now-deleted tweet.

But McGregor does not acknowledge that the aim of the vaccination rollout is to reduce hospitalisations, the severity of the infection if contracted, and deaths.

He replied to a tweet written by journalist Gavan Reilly which dismissed rumours that dates for a potential December lockdown were being discussed in Leinster House.

“An outlet is reporting some dates for prospective pub closures, and outright lockdown, based on suggestions from people ‘in Leinster House’. Worth remembering that Leinster House is not where such dates are decided, but Government Buildings. There’s no parliamentary role in it,” Gavan wrote.

“Yet leave the Dáil bar open. The hospitality sector is not a scapegoat, nor even the issue here. This sector has been closed. It is the incapacity to bolster our ability to house patients. There is no excuse for a LIFETIME OF NEGLIGENCE AND FAILURE TO FIX THIS. Will not comply!” McGregor responded in another deleted tweet.

Earlier this month he labelled Leo Varadkar as a “poisonous buffoon” after the Tánaiste appeared on American news network CNN to discuss Ireland’s surge of Covid cases.

“Poisonous individual! Buffoon. Get this blithering fool off my screen. Show pony phony,” McGregor said, sharing a clip of the programme.

The former Taoiseach said that the 5% of people in Ireland who are unvaccinated are “causing the trouble.”

He told the station’s news anchor that he hopes that the booster programme will help with waning immunity. He also said that he hope no new restrictions will be put in place before Christmas.

“Half a mil per annum our ‘chief’ is on. Not including perk. All I have seen from this individual is the same identical statement over and over and over again."

"Our healthcare is under strain," Conor added in another tweet.

"You are not paid to make this statement. You are paid to fix it. Do. Your. Job!”

“Who on earth do these lizards think they are? It is not just ‘necessary’ they pay.

"It is essential! Necessary after the light is shone, how convenient. Lizards,” he said, while quoting a tweet from journalist Gavan Reilly about TDs being offered free antigen tests.

He further proclaimed: “The unchecked goings on inside that house is horrid. The horrid house of the Oireachtas! I shout PETTY TREASON!”
