Conor McGregor took a jab at Jake Paul following Katie Taylor’s victory over Amanda Serrano on Saturday night.

The Irishwoman beat the Puerto Rican, who Paul promotes, via split decision at a sold-out Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Taylor’s compatriot Conor McGregor tuned in to the historic bout and first paid tribute to the Bray boxer as she successfully defended her undisputed lightweight titles.

Taking to Twitter, the MMA star said: “Katie Taylor The Greatest! Absolutely incredible boxing! Take a bow ladies! What a contest!”

Shortly afterwards, McGregor laid out his thoughts as YouTuber–turned-boxer Paul stepped into the ring for a post-fight interview.

He remarked that the pink glasses donned by Paul at the event were similar to those worn by disgraced television and radio personality Jimmy Savile.

Paul shared several videos in his pink glasses on his Instagram Stories on Saturday night

“Who the f**k is this jackass in the pink Jimmy Saville (sic) glasses?” the 33-year-old wrote.

An unimpressed Paul fired back: “I'm the one who has done more for fighters than you ever have.

“The one who has won five fights in the past two years while you have lost five.

“The one who isn’t owned by Dana White.

“The one who made the fight you just watched happen.

“The one who got your hero Katie Taylor paid.

“That’s who.”

And McGregor simply responded with a photo of Jimmy Savile wearing pink glasses like the pair Paul wore, further taunting the 25-year-old.

Paul later spoke about the online spat during a post-fight press conference, saying: “It is what it is.”

“Of course, Conor’s watching to support Katie and we have a little bit of banter back and forth, but of course he always has something to say. But, he doesn’t really have a place to talk, right?

“He hasn’t won a fight in five years, [UFC president Dana White] owns him and I’m the one who got Katie Taylor a big payday and that’s his hero.

“So, Conor McGregor’s not tall enough to ride a rollercoaster and I feel bad for him and he’s ducking me, so we’ll get that settled one day.”
