Conor McGregor claims he'd 'smoke' football legend Neymar in fight

Conor McGregor has hit out at Paris Saint-Germain footballer Neymar and Brazilian MMA star Charles Oliveira in a bizarre social media post.
The Notorious shared a screenshot of a post uploaded by Oliveira last week, which shows the current UFC Lightweight Champion posing with his championship belt beside Neymar.
And McGregor seemingly challenged the pair to a bout, writing: “Smoke the two of these,” and adding some emojis of a gun and a bank.

Oliveira had thanked Neymar for his support following his defeat against McGregor’s rival Dustin Poirier in December, captioning the post: “Thank you my friend for all the affection and cheering. God always bless you and lighten. Let’s go with everything always towards the top.”
McGregor also shared a promotional post for the hypothetical fight, which read: “2022: McGregor vs. Brazil III?” referencing his defeats of Diego Brandao in 2014 and José Aldo in 2015.
The post was captioned: “Is 2022 the year we see Conor McGregor go against the country of Brazil for a third time?”
It comes after Oliveira rang in the New Year by asking his followers if they’d like to see him fight McGregor or American Justin Gaethje.
The 32-year-old received dozens of comments encouraging him to spar with the Irishman after saying: “Let's start the year with this poll, who would you like to see fight with me?”

Former dual-weight UFC champion McGregor has not fought since July, when he broke his leg during his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier.
The Crumlin native plans to make his return to the Octagon in 2022 after recovering from his injury, with many MMA fighters expressing their interest to take him on, including former YouTube star Jake Paul.
The 24-year-old has previously accused UFC president Dana White of getting in the way of his bout with McGregor.
“If Dana would ever let Conor out of his contract to set up the boxing match, I think that’s what is needed to make it happen,” Paul said on In Depth with Graham Bensinger.
“And I think that will, I think it will happen, and if Conor is going to just continue to lose fights – he’s 1-4 in the past five years – then there’s not much Dana will be able to do with him anyway.
“So cash him out one more time, but his manager is good friends with my manager and another one of my advisors, and they talk constantly about making it happen.”
