Conor McGregor enjoyed “the most special day” as his son Rian was christened in the Vatican this weekend.

The UFC star arrived in Rome on Friday ahead of the christening of his third child with longtime partner Dee Devlin after an extended stay in the US where he was nursing a broken leg.

He was reunited with his mother Margaret, father Tony, and sisters Erin and Aoife for the first time since before his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier during the summer.

And his children Conor Jr and Croía also helped to celebrate their little brother’s big day, attending the ceremony with the rest of the family.

Conor’s sister Erin, who appeared on the Irish edition of Dancing With the Stars in 2018, shared some videos from the big day to her Instagram account.

Sharing a clip from inside the church, Erin showed off the stunning pillars and altar where Rian’s christening was taking place.

“I was honoured and blown away to be part of this day. This chair is where the Pope says mass,” she said.

“Thanks @thenotoriousmma, @deedevlin1 yesterday was the most special day for me. I’m honoured and privileged to stand beside you for the best day ever.

“#babyrian I love you and will love you forever,” she added.

During his trip, The Notorious also bumped into legendary football manager Jose Mourinho, who got to try some of McGregor’s Proper No. Twelve Whiskey.

Mourinho, a former manager of McGregor’s favourite club Manchester United, said it was a “real pleasure” to meet the Dubliner.

Taking to Instagram, the Roma head coach shared some photos of the pair meeting for the first time, including a snap of McGregor holding up an A.S. Roma jersey and another picture enjoying some whiskey.
