Cliona Hagan to marry fiancé Simon Sheerin in Mullingar, Co Westmeath today

Country music star Cliona Hagan is set to marry her fiancé Simon Sheerin in Co Westmeath today.
The blushing bride and her groom will say “I do” this afternoon at a church near Simon’s home in Mullingar before hosting their wedding reception at Kilronan Castle in Co Roscommon.
She will walk down the aisle in a bespoke wedding gown designed by renowned designer Geraldine O’Meara, complete with sweetheart corset, thin straps, and “Pippa Middleton style buttons running into a long trail.”
Cliona has been busy preparing for the big day and even started the celebrations early with a pre-wedding party this week.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the Tyrone native shared a video of herself and Simon marking the occasion surrounded by friends and family who all toasted the happy couple.

“And so it begins...#prewedding,” she told her 48,400 followers.
In the clip, Cliona showed off some of her and Simon’s wedding details, including special Mr and Mrs balloons and matching personalised champagne glasses that read “Hubby, Mr Sheerin, 25/05/2022” for Simon and “Wifey, Mrs Sheerin, 25/05/2022” for Cliona.
And to get herself ready for the main event, the musician spent the night before the wedding in the presidential suite at the Sheraton Athlone Hotel, who she thanked for looking after her “so well.”
Cliona has previously gushed about how excited she is to tie the knot with the love of her life but admitted that she was a tad “nervous” about walking down the aisle.
“I will be very nervous walking down the aisle and although I perform on stage, I am actually a shy person.

“I know everyone will be looking at my dress but I will be fine once I get to the altar and see Simon.
“We can’t wait to get married in the eyes of God. That is very important to the two of us and all of our families too.”
Simon and Cliona met in 2016 when he was the musical director of her band. At first, their relationship was completely platonic but later blossomed into a romance.
The couple got engaged in December 2020.
