Country music star Cliona Hagan showed off her stunning engagement ring as she enjoyed a date night with her fiancé Simon Sheerin yesterday.

The Tyrone native shared some gorgeous snaps with her husband-to-be on her Instagram account, including some photos of the pair enjoying the sunset together at Lough Ree in Co. Westmeath, where they got engaged.

Cliona looked beautiful in a yellow ruched top and skirt and wore her blonde locks in a plaited ponytail.

In one video, she showed off the picturesque views and played Mariah Carey’s Always Be My Baby.

The 32-year-old captioned the post: “About last night #datenight #sunset.”

Cliona and Simon haven't set a date for their wedding yet after getting engaged in December, with Simon staging a fairytale proposal at Lough Ree.

Speaking about the wonderful day, Cliona said: “We went down to our favourite lake, Lough Ree in Co Westmeath, where we always have a nice walk.

“Then I saw this beautiful arch and flowers, and a red carpet and candles.

“He had my favourite song playing, Shania Twain's You're Still The One, and he just got down on one knee and proposed.

“The two of us were crying and it was such a beautiful moment I could hardly even speak.”

The country music star was over the moon when her Westmeath beau produced a stunning ring.

“It's just so beautiful, I can't stop looking at it,” she said.

“It's platinum, has a hexagon shape and there's lots of diamonds. It's absolutely fabulous. It's everything and more that I could have wished for.

“Simon chose it and he did so good. He has great taste and he's just such a stylish person anyway, so picking a ring was no bother to him.”
