Derry Girls and Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan dazzled in pink when she took to the red carpet at the BAFTA Television awards on Sunday.

The Galway actress stood out in a bright pink ballgown sporting three large bows as she posed for photographers.

Actress Aisling Bea, wearing a sheer blue gown, was among the other Irish stars who attended the London bash.

Irish actresses Niamh Algar and Denise Gough were among the stars nominated for awards at Sunday night’s ceremony.

Gough has been shortlisted for her role in acclaimed TV drama Too Close, which highlighted mental health issues.

She starred opposite Emily Watson in the three-part drama which was a ratings hit for Virgin Media One.

Westmeath actress Algar was nominated for her role in Channel 4 series Deceit.

She played an undercover police officer who took part in an operation in an attempt to catch the killer of Rachel Nickell.

The young woman was murdered on Wimbledon common in one of the most high-profile cases of recent decades in the UK.

The awards celebrate the best of UK TV over the past year, with moving AIDS drama It’s a Sin and powerful pandemic drama Help, starring Jodie Comer, among the frontfunners.
