Bonnie Ryan and her family have officially landed in Italy ahead of her dream wedding with longtime partner John Greenhalgh.

The couple, who have been together since they were teenagers, legally tied the knot back in March at a small civil ceremony in Dublin but are now gearing up for their main celebration: a church wedding in Italy with family and friends in tow.

Bonnie's sister Lottie is taking on the role as matron of honour, while her other sister Babs and a close friend will be bridesmaids.

The bride-to-be, whose father was legendary RTÉ broadcaster Gerry Ryan, jetted out to Italy earlier this week and revealed that she and John were staying “somewhere special” while they waited for their family to join them.

She shared some photos of the nibbles she’s been enjoying as she gets wedding ready, including an extravagant cheeseboard, fresh pasta, scrumptious tiramisu cake, and glasses of champagne.

And on Wednesday, older sister Lottie announced that she touched down in Italy with her husband Fabio Aprile and their 11-month-old son Wolf.

“Finally! Let the holidays begin!” she said on Instagram as she held up a cocktail in the sun.

“PS plane journey with Wolf was a huge success,” she added, noting that the staff at Aer Lingus “really made us feel at ease.”

Last week, Bonnie revealed that she’d picked up the gown she'll walk down the aisle in after getting the final alterations done.

While she didn’t give away what the dress looked like, she shared that she picked it up in Bridal by Tamem Michael in Ballymount, Dublin 24.

Posting a photo of some Polaroids that show her beaming while holding up the dress in a protective bag, Bonnie wrote: “Got the dress!! Special day. Getting close….” and added emojis of a church and a blushing bride.

Bonnie also revealed that her mum Morah, godmother Paula, and her “gorgeous nana” accompanied her while she shopped for the perfect frock.

“My gorgeous nana came to see me in my dress today while I took it home – she can’t make my wedding, [it] was important she got to see me in it,” she said.

Bonnie and John got engaged back in November 2019 after he popped the question while they were on a romantic trip to New York.
