Brian McFadden has admitted that he hasn’t spoken to his former Westlife bandmates in a decade.
The Dubliner walked away from the group in 2004 after six years together, just before his marriage to Kerry Katona ended.
And Brian has revealed that he hasn’t had much contact with his former bandmates Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, and Mark Feehily since.
He appeared on ITV’s This Morning to promote new music with Boyzone singer Keith Duffy as part of their band Boyzlife just months after releasing their first single, The One, last October.
When asked by host Alison Hammond if the Westlife boys supported Brian and Keith’s Boyzlife venture, he replied: “Don’t know. I haven’t spoken to them in ten years.
“[I left] in 2004. I’ve actually been in Boyzlife longer, which is weird.”
Earlier in the show, Brian joked that Hammond and co-host Dermot O’Leary didn’t do their research when they played a Westlife song that was recorded after he had left the group.
Introducing Brian and Keith, Alison said: “Westlife and Boyzone join forces. Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden. They join us now! Now you just said, earlier on we played a tune Brian?”
The 41-year-old responded: “You played You Raise Me Up and it's the only one I wasn't in. I'd actually left the band at that point.”

Keith joked: “You played the one song that is literally nothing to do with either of us.”
Cringing, Dermot said: “That's literally so awkward, I'm so sorry.”
But Brian saw the funny side of the blunder and said: “21 number ones and you pick the one I'm not a part of.”
Meanwhile, Keith said wouldn't be interested in forming a supergroup between Boyzone and Westlife.
“We’re grand the way we are – two is fine, you know. When there’s five it’s difficult, there’s too many personalities but it is only Brian and I and we agree on everything,” he said.
