Angela Scanlon has hinted that she’s given birth to her second child with husband Roy Horgan.

The couple, who have been married since 2014, are already parents to daughter Ruby, who they welcomed in February 2018.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the 38-year-old teased that baby number 2 may have already arrived in a cryptic post.

She shared a photo of a cake with the words ‘Hello Baby’ iced on top as Ruby’s tiny hand reaches for a slice.

Giving nothing away in the post’s caption, Angela wrote: “Still eating this. Mainly the butter icing with my bare claws.”

A host of famous faces flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages, prompting fans to speculate that the Ratoath native had welcomed her new baby.

Singer Imelda May sent lots of heart emojis and wrote: “Congratulations!!!!!!!!”

Celebrity chef Rachel Allen said: “Yippeeeeee congratulations!”

While cook Clodagh McKenna added: “Congratulations Angela!! Sending you all lots of love.”

In October, Angela shocked fans by revealing she was pregnant for a second time. She had kept much of the pregnancy under wraps but shared her news along with her growing baby bump.

“SO, this is happening!! I’m pregnant and apparently already prepping for actual labour,” she said.

“Baby Horgan The Second (official title) arrives next spring. Feeling very lucky and excited and also nervous about jumping on a trampoline (forever).”

Angela previously admitted that she didn’t have a great experience when she gave birth to Ruby in the hospital.

“I did it with a midwife last time but when I went to the hospital everything slowed down,” she told Amy Huberman on her Mamia and Me podcast.

“I didn't realise that I'm quite scared of hospitals for whatever reason. I've never spent very much time in hospitals so maybe that's why, or maybe I remember it from being a baby,” she said.

“Last time, I was eight centimetres by the time I reached the hospital. I was in complete denial. She was due on the 28th of February and was born on the 25th of February.

“But, in my mind, I was convinced that she was going to be born on the 14th of March for no reason at all. So, I hadn't packed my hospital bag.

“There's so much focus on the birth and the labour, and then you think ‘Oh nobody really told me there's going to be a baby at the end of this.’

“Everything looked so medical, which was quite a scary thing. So, if I'm at home it'll be more chilled.”
