Angela Scanlon has said that she is “besotted” with her newborn baby girl.

The broadcaster recently hinted that she’d given birth to her second child with her husband Roy Horgan and has now confirmed the news.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Angela announced that baby Marnie Fae arrived into the world on February 11th and said that she and Roy are over the moon.

She shared a photo with her tiny newborn laying on her chest and wrote: “Marnie Fae Horgan 11.2.22 Chapped lips & chapped nips can only mean one thing… our little woman has arrived!! We are besotted x.”

A host of famous faces flocked to the comments section to congratulate the Meath native on the latest addition to the family, from Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle to celebrity chef Donal Skehan.

Golden Globe nominee Caitriona Balfe wrote: “Congratulations Angela, and welcome Marnie.”

Imelda May said: “Ah she’s adorable!!! Congratulations to you all. Grá mór.”

Author and health guru Daniella Moyles added: “CONGRATULATIONS!!! I’m beaming for you, another beautiful little lady. Let the snuggle bubble commence. Sending all the love, mama.”

While Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison chimed in: “Omg congratulations beautiful girl.”

Back in October, Angela shocked fans by revealing she was pregnant for a second time.

She and Roy, who tied the knot in 2014, are already parents to Ruby, who they welcomed in February 2018.

She had kept much of the pregnancy under wraps this time around but shared her news along with her growing baby bump.

“SO, this is happening!! I’m pregnant and apparently already prepping for actual labour,” she said.

“Baby Horgan The Second (official title) arrives next spring. Feeling very lucky and excited and also nervous about jumping on a trampoline (forever).”
