Aidan Power has landed a new role in the US following his recent departure from Ireland AM.

The popular Virgin Media presenter parted ways with the station last month after a two-and-a-half year stint on Ireland AM.

The 42-year-old is the latest to leave the station, following in the footsteps of his Ireland AM co-hosts Laura Woods and Anna Daly.

Now, Aidan has revealed that he’s landed a new opportunity in the States as a commentator for Showtime Sports.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the Dubliner shared a photo of himself alongside American mixed martial arts pro Josh Thompson and wrote: “That was fun! Thanks @bellatormma and my mentor @therealpunk for guiding me through my US debut on @shosports What a night! #bellator26.”

During his Showtime Sports debut, Aidan weighed in on the Bellator 267 showdown between welterweights Michael “Venom” Page and Douglas Lima in London on Friday.

The presenter has yet to comment on his departure from Ireland AM, with his agent Noel Kelly and Virgin Media also remaining silent on the matter.

Aidan joined the station's weekend slots in February 2019, where he primarily reported on sport.

He has been reporting on various sports for more than 20 years, including the Olympics, European football championships and League of Ireland.

He has also hosted shows on iRadio and 98FM.
