Broadcaster Lottie Ryan has revealed for the first time her growing baby bump on a photograph she has shared on social media.

The 2FM star is expecting a baby boy with her husband Fabio Aprile.

The couple, who married in Italy in 2017, announced in February that they were expecting a baby boy.

They subsequently posted a picture of her first baby scan, but since then Lottie has shied away from sharing photos of her bump on social media.

She is due to give birth in August.

But last night, the mum-to-be shared a glimpse of her growing baby bump on her Instagram Story.

She posted a black and white snap of her bare bump, alongside the caption: “We can’t wait to meet you.”

Lottie is the second eldest of five children of the late Gerry Ryan and his wife Morah. This will would have been Gerry’s first grandchild.

Lottie went on the win Dancing With The Stars last year and has carved out a successful career on TV and radio.

She recently admitted she was “thinking twice” about sharing her pregnancy journey on social media as she was inundated with unsolicited advice.

Lottie fell pregnant last year, just weeks after she decided to freeze her eggs.

"It was before Christmas we found out,” she recalls about discovering she was pregnant. “We told our families on Christmas Day, which was just absolutely amazing. “I think my mother nearly fainted, God bless her, because she thought there was no hope for me,” she explained.

Lottie revealed she had attended a fertility clinic to discuss freezing her eggs.

"I knew I was of a certain age and I had Dancing with the Stars had just finished and I had all these ideas I was off to the West End and you know all this kind of mad stuff.

“I said: 'listen Fab, we better just freeze the eggs, because man I am off now, I am on this rollercoaster of wanting to perform'. So off we went to the clinic,” she said.

Lottie said the pregnancy came as a surprise as doctors warned it may take over a year before she would conceive.

“Three weeks later, I was sitting on the floor of my bathroom surrounded by fifty million pregnancy tests looking at Fabio going 'go to another chemist there is something wrong with this batch as well,” she said.

Lottie also revealed her plans to go back to work after her new arrival in August.

"I'm not going to take long off at all,” she said.
