Elizabeth Banks is the latest Hollywood A-lister to fall in love with Ireland as she hit up some of the island’s tourist attractions this week.

The Hunger Games actor moved her family to the Emerald Isle last month as she prepares to direct a new film.

During her downtime, she has visited a number of must-see spots around Ireland with her husband Max Handelman.

Most recently, the couple made the journey over to the Cliffs of Moher where, in typical Irish fashion, they were caught in the rain.

Elizabeth joked that it was like visiting California’s “Big Sur but with Irish weather.”

Over the weekend, the 47-year-old soaked up some sun at Bullock Harbour in Dalkey as she donned some shorts and a yellow sweatshirt by the sea.

She told her followers what an Irish summer is really like in the caption, writing: “Today marks the second time I’ve worn shorts in #ireland #irishsummer.”

One follower quipped: “And probably your last!”

Elizabeth and Max have also toured Dun Laoghaire Harbour and Limerick during their time in Ireland before they headed to Dromoland Castle in County Clare for some Fourth of July celebrations.

Writer and producer Max shared a stunning snap of the historic hotel on his social media and said: “Celebrated America’s Independence this weekend at a fancy Irish castle. As one does.”

Banks is here directing the thriller Cocaine Bear, based on the true-life story of a 175lb black bear that died after eating 40 kilos of cocaine – presumably dropped from a plane – in Chattahoochee National Forest in the US.
